Warranty Module
1. When is the dropdown Disabled (Blocked)?

If a serial number is associated with any status defined in WarrantyHelper::OPEN_STATUSES, it is considered an active warranty claim. In this case, the serial number will be displayed as Already Claimed and cannot be selected.

  • 🟡 Pending – Warranty claim has been submitted.
  • 🟠 Sent to Vendor – Product has been sent to the vendor for inspection or service.
  • 🔵 Repaired – Repair has been completed.
  • 🟣 Replaced – Product has been replaced with a new one.
2. When is the dropdown Enabled (Selectable Again)?

A serial number becomes available for selection again once the warranty claim reaches one of the following final statuses:

  • 🟢 Delivered – The repaired or replaced product has been returned to the customer.
  • 🔴 Rejected – The warranty claim has been rejected.

Result: If the product develops another issue after it has been delivered back to the customer, and the warranty period is still valid, the same serial number can be selected again to create a new warranty claim.
